OUR HISTORY

Honouring Prof. George Aytte

The term “Cheetah Generation” was coined by renowned Ghanaian economist and scholar George Ayittey to describe a new wave of Africans defined by energy, ambition, and the courage to challenge stagnation.

Like the cheetah—fast, agile, and decisive—this generation represents Africa’s capacity to adapt, innovate, and lead in a rapidly changing world.

The program honors Ayittey’s vision by empowering young Africans to think independently, lead boldly, and shape sustainable progress across the continent.
