Alexander is an analytical youth educator, writer, classical liberal thinker, and institutional development practitioner with a strong interest in governance, public policy, human capital development, and economic freedom. He holds a Bachelor of Education in Human Ecology from the University of Malawi.
Alexander is the Co-Founder and Director of Training and Development at the Manson Institute for Leadership Education (MILE), where he contributes to the design and delivery of programmes that equip young leaders with practical knowledge and skills in civic engagement, economic literacy, innovation, leadership, and institutional development. Through MILE, he works at the intersection of education, leadership development, public policy, and youth empowerment.
He currently serves as a Peace Ambassador at the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP), Ambassador for the Kectil Program, and Ambassador for the Malawi Creation Care Network (MCCN). He has previously served as Country Director for BridgeAfrica Malawi, National Coordinator for Students For Liberty Malawi, Global Youth Ambassador with Theirworld, and in Development and Data Operations at Liberty International.
Alexander has participated in several international policy and leadership platforms, including the World Bank Youth Summit and the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Youth Forum, as well as various national and university leadership initiatives. These experiences have strengthened his interest in connecting local realities with broader conversations on governance, development, education, and economic opportunity.
His professional interests include youth governance, education policy, public policy, economic freedom, entrepreneurship, leadership development, and human capital development. He is particularly passionate about expanding access to knowledge and creating institutional environments in which young people can develop the capabilities, confidence, and agency to contribute meaningfully to society.
As a leader and mentor, Alexander enjoys developing people and ideas. Beyond his professional work, he is an avid reader who enjoys meditation, exploring new ideas, writing, and engaging young people in conversations about economic freedom, leadership, and the institutions that shape human flourishing.
